Planters Peanuts hasn’t sold peanut butter in the U.S. since the 70’s…until now. It was announced today on Facebook by the Robert Downey Jr. voiced mascot Mr. Peanut (along with his “stunt double” Doug) in a hilarious online-only spot you can see here:
Did you recognize Peanut Butter Doug’s voice? That’s Kevin Dillon. The Kraft-owned brand is aiming at the adult market with it’s new peanut butter which competes against Jif, Skippy and Peter Pan in the market. Planters Peanut Butter should be in stores soon but if you can’t find it yet and you’re looking to buy it now, Amazon has it in stock in creamy or crunchy.
