Adding to our collection of unusual food delivery vehicles (remember the pizza delivery via Snowcat?)- it’s the world’s first amphibious ice cream truck. Sailing around London, the HMS Flake 99 hopes to revive the “sinking” ice cream truck trade that’s been hit hard by rising fuel costs, rising milk and sugar prices, and road and noise regulations.
The amphibious truck, which has a top speed of 5 knots, expects to head across the English Channel later this year and head down to the canals of Venice to ply it’s trade. Bring back some gelato!
